The IoT LTSC 21H2 version was specifically chosen for this build because support for “standard” Windows 10 22H2 will end completely this fall (2025). In contrast, IoT LTSC 21H2 will receive stable updates from Microsoft until 2032. Furthermore, 21H2 outperforms all 22H2 semi-annual versions in several ways: it features a more efficient kernel (perfect for budget PCs), lacks “tile” bloatware, and does not force OneDrive cloud services upon the user. Compared to the “innovative” Windows 11 24H2, Windows 10 21H2 is significantly lighter.
Many users don’t even bother with extra configurations; they simply install the original Win 10 IoT LTSC and use it comfortably. It is worth noting the exceptionally high ratings for the original image of this version. The system is far more customizable, resource-efficient, predictable, and user-friendly than Windows 11 24H2. Naturally, we felt such an excellent version deserved careful optimization, paired with the superior Flibustier launcher, allowing you to install the system with settings tailored to your taste. We have updated this version and removed Microsoft Edge along with other infrequently used features.
Choosing this build is ideal for long-term use due to it having the longest support lifecycle of any Windows 10 version. Do not rush to discard a computer or laptop that may seem slightly outdated for Windows 11 24H2; instead, install this build to continue working comfortably on your familiar PC for many years to come.

Using Launcher Tweaks for Customized Installation
A common question in the comments regarding builds featuring the launcher is: “What do these options mean, which should I check, and which should I leave unchecked?” First, please note that all recommended options are located on the left side—these are selected by default.
All .reg tweaks are located within the ISO image at \sources\flbfiles\panther\specialize . You can open any tweak with Notepad to view or edit its contents. The proposed settings within the .reg files are commented for clarity. If you do not have time to study these options, simply leave the settings as they are and check only the “Activate” (Активировать) option in the right column. This is the optimal choice if the technical descriptions seem too complex and you need to install the system quickly.
Disabling SysMain, WSearch, and ReadyBoot
This option optimizes drive performance.
- SysMain (formerly Superfetch): Many SSD manufacturers and users consider this service unnecessary. Even on HDDs, its benefits are questionable, as any minor optimization is often offset by the constant consumption of RAM and CPU resources.
- WSearch: This is the indexing service for faster searching. While indexing can be useful on office computers with massive amounts of documents, it is often a redundant service for home PCs that slows down overall drive responsiveness.
- ReadyBoot: Designed to “optimize speed,” but in practice, many users find it entirely useless.
On lower-end PCs, disabling these features provides a noticeable boost in efficiency and responsiveness. For SSDs specifically, many optimization tools recommend disabling SysMain and WSearch immediately so that Microsoft’s legacy optimization technologies do not interfere with modern drive performance.
The Benefits of Compact Compression
The build can be installed with Compact compression (enabled by default) or without it. This is a native Microsoft technology designed to save disk space. However, as the launcher’s author (Flibustier) has always pointed out, it offers another significant advantage: faster data reading from the drive since the files occupy less physical space.
Some users argue that compressed files consume more CPU power during decompression. However, the results speak for themselves: performance in these launcher-based builds is excellent, and the system footprint is much smaller. While Microsoft was previously hesitant to recommend Compact compression, they now use it extensively in the latest Windows versions when disk space is limited.
System Modifications (Pre-Launcher Integration)
- Updates: The system has been fully updated to the current date. All patches released by Microsoft since the launch of IoT LTSC 21H2 have been integrated, along with .NET Framework 4.8.1.
- Cleanup: After integrating updates, the system was cleaned using DISM tools.
- Edge Browser: Microsoft Edge has been uninstalled, though the WebView2 runtime remains. WebView2 is frequently required for the installation and operation of various modern software.
- WinRE: The
WinRE.wim(Recovery Environment) has been removed. This bulky recovery image is rarely used, and its removal is standard practice in optimized builds. - Removed Features: Math Input Panel, Spell Checking/Prediction, Hello Face, Steps Recorder, and Microsoft Remote Assistant have been removed.
- UAC (User Account Control): Disabled by default. This is necessary for the launcher to correctly apply all selected options during installation. You can re-enable UAC after installation if you require higher security.
- Tweaks: Several tweaks (many from Flibustier’s “Compact” builds) have been applied. Specifically: Reserved Storage, NTFS link tracking, and Compatibility Assistant are disabled. “Troubleshoot compatibility” and “3D Edit” have been removed from the context menu. The Taskbar is set to show all tray icons by default, along with various UI improvements for convenience.
- Windows Update: Set to Manual mode by default. Note that when Windows Update is set to manual on Windows 10, a notification appears stating “Some settings are managed by your organization.” This is normal and does not mean the builder is remotely controlling your PC; it is simply how Windows flags manual update configurations.
- Future Updates: None of the removals or optimizations will prevent the system from updating successfully in the future. You can rely on full Microsoft servicing until 2032.
Additional Information
Due to its extended support lifecycle, this version is particularly appealing to those who refuse to switch to Windows 11. Demand for the original “IoT LTSC” and builds based on it remains high. Support until 2032 is a major—but not the only—advantage.
The ISO may include a browser installer and some default Chrome settings, which users can easily customize. All builds are scanned for viruses before publication. The ISO image is opened via DISM, and all contents are scanned for malicious files.
For gaming compatibility, we recommend installing the latest Runtimes (DirectX and VC++) using the official installers or the included auto-install batch file.
