Important Installation Requirement

While SLMP-based systems are highly praised, some users encounter difficulties during setup. The essential condition for a successful installation is to disconnect your internet connection during the setup process. This is a mandatory step for the system to configure itself correctly.

Collaboration & “Double Optimization”

SLMP has previously released works under the aliases Mitradis and Intellect. The Revision team has long-tested and valued SLMP’s scripts for their aggressive performance gains. However, there was one area Revision felt could be improved: the complete removal of unnecessary components. Since this system is intentionally non-updateable, keeping a disabled Windows Defender or other redundant Microsoft “junk” serves no purpose.

To address this, the Revision Group developed custom pre-processing scripts. These scripts were applied to the original Windows 10 image first to:

1. Completely purge the most intrusive bloatware.
2. Enable full RU/EN bilingual support.
3. Ensure the “Disabled” components were physically removed from the image to save space and resources.

Only after this deep clean were the SLMP scripts applied to finalize the core gaming optimization. The result is a hybrid build that combines the extreme speed of SLMP with the thorough cleaning and localization of Revision.

Advantages of the Dual-Script Build

• Bilingual Integration: RU and EN versions are integrated into a single image. You can select your language during installation or switch the entire interface within the system later. Updated to the latest available build.
• Aggressive Bloatware Removal: Several components that typically hinder performance have been purged, including DeviceGuard, Defender, Multipoint, WinSAT (Performance Index), WebcamExperience, WSL, Mixed Reality support, NFS, HostGuardian, and OneDrive (Cloud).
• Note on Stability: While removing these components usually breaks Windows Update in version 22H2, it is irrelevant here as the update service is hard-disabled.
• Optimized Image: Removed WinRe.wim and replaced the standard installer with a compact version, stripping away redundant files meant for non-clean installs. This results in a smaller ISO footprint compared to original SLMP builds.

Known Issues (Cons)

• Setup Error: During the final phase of installation, the script may report an error regarding the removal of the Microsoft-Windows-Search package. This is a script notification, not a system failure; the OS remains functional.
• Localized Labels: In the English version, a few system shortcut names might appear in Cyrillic or have incorrect labels. These can be easily renamed manually, and the programs function perfectly.

SLMP Script Features & Methodology

• Retro Interface: The script patches system files to bring back the Windows 7 aesthetic. It even includes the classic Windows 7 Task Manager.
• WinTool by SLMP: Includes a proprietary utility for system adjustments. For example, you can use it to restore the “Send to Desktop (Create Shortcut)” option.
• No Store/Tiles: Microsoft Store and Live Tiles are absent and cannot be restored due to the disabled Windows Update service.
• Technical Implementation: The SLMP script works by targeting a drive renamed to Z: (with 15-20 GB free). It processes boot.wim and install.wim from a Windows 10 Business Edition image via the _Clear.bat file.
• SSD Longevity: Extra background system activity is prohibited, minimizing unnecessary disk writes, which significantly extends the lifespan of SSDs.
• Manual Driver Installation: Automatic driver updates are disabled along with Windows Update. Users must install drivers manually.
