This build is a maximally lightweight version of Windows 10, specifically tuned for performance and gaming. Everything redundant has been removed from the system: background services, security modules, built-in applications, and components that offer no real benefit in a gaming scenario. The result is a fast, “quiet” system with low resource consumption and stable operation.

The base is taken from an original build by SanLex, but it has been further reworked by the RG team. All of the original author’s key settings and logic have been preserved; only the level of “cleanliness” has been adjusted—unnecessary components have been removed more deeply and rigorously. Essentially, this is not a new build from scratch, but a more aggressive optimization of an already well-thought-out base.

It is ideal for those who want maximum FPS and minimal system load without bloatware or tracking. It is a great option for gamers, owners of weak or mid-range PCs, and those who consciously choose to forego updates and built-in protection in favor of pure speed. It is not suitable for those who require standard Windows features, “out-of-the-box” security, or regular updates.

Description: Windows 10 Pro 22H2 Lite [Enhanced SanLex Edition]

Build created by the RG team based on Windows 10 Lightweight by SanLex. The author of the original build did not participate in the ISO stripping process—this was purely our own initiative. Why did we make this decision? Because builds by SanLex can be accelerated even further if they are stripped of redundant “junk.” That is exactly what we have done here.

All original SanLex settings are preserved! We only performed a deeper stripping of the ISO; all of SanLex’s author-specific configurations and tweaks remain intact. This means only the “garbage” (unnecessary for gamers) has been removed. The component selection and all tweaks intended by SanLex are present. The Microsoft Store can be installed and works, and all intended system functions operate exactly as SanLex envisioned. The main difference lies in the aggressive stripping, the removal of update capabilities, and the deletion of numerous non-essential system files.

How does the Lite version differ from the original SanLex build?

In addition to standard Windows components, the following have been removed:

  • Edge: There is simply no point in this “adware” browser for a gaming build.
  • Defender & SmartScreen: SanLex originally disabled them; we have removed them entirely.
  • Unused Windows Components: If they weren’t utilized by SanLex, they have no place in the system.
  • Optimized Installer: Unlike the standard installer used by SanLex which contains bloat, this version is clean.
  • BitLocker: Please note—BitLocker is completely absent in this build.
  • System “Junk”: Removed the WinSxS cache, unnecessary Asian fonts, IME, migwiz, and much more.
  • The Lite version remains just as stable as the original SanLex build.

Disabled and Optimized:

Telemetry for Microsoft Office, Visual Studio data and code collection, diagnostics and feedback, the standard Diagnostic Hub collector, and data transmission after Windows installation/activation. Furthermore, Customer Experience Improvement Programs (CEIP/SQMClient) and Desktop Analytics are restricted.

Removed or Blocked:

OneDrive (partially), Windows Defender (full package, non-restorable), Xbox Game Mode (can be restored manually), advertising modules, content delivery managers, and Windows Spotlight (lock screen images and web recommendations).

Security Optimizations:

Disabled legacy protocols, LAN Manager (including password hash storage), Teredo, and IPv6 adjustments. Access to administrative resources, auto-run for external media, and LAN auto-distribution are restricted.

Tracking Reduction:

Disabled keylogger-like mechanisms, text and handwriting input analysis, contact collection, personalization, advertising ID, and app launch tracking.

Privacy Management:

Disabled clipboard history, app access to user data/messages, and restricted permissions in the “Privacy” section. User data storage is either partially or fully blocked.

Network & Cloud Functions:

Content synchronization with Microsoft (Email, Calendar, etc.) is restricted. Cloud scenarios, P2P updates, and automatic device metadata retrieval from the internet are disabled.

UI & User Experience:

Disabled “News and Interests,” Cortana, Windows Online Search, app notifications, Shared Experience, and “Find My Device.”

System Functions:

Disabled Fast Startup, reserved storage for updates, Hibernation, and automatic offline map updates. Search indexing is minimized.

Safety & Control:

UAC is configured, Windows Hello for Business and biometrics are restricted, Speech Recognition is off, and PowerShell 2.0 is protected against downgrade attacks.

Background Processes:

Removed or disabled redundant services, scheduled tasks, unwanted UWP apps, and background processes to save system resources.

Files & Access:

Disabled File History, Offline Files, Cloud Content, Contact data, and activity history (partially), along with messaging functions.

Performance Optimization:

TRIM for SSD is enabled, text auto-correction is configured, automatic troubleshooting is restricted, and Windows Updates are set to manual mode.

Additional Information

As is well known, all builds by SanLex are designed for advanced users looking for the lightest possible system for gaming. This build provides exactly that, but in a significantly more stripped-down form.

  • Browsers: The ISO may contain a browser installer or default settings for Chrome; users can easily change these to their preference.
  • Security: All author builds are checked for viruses. The ISO is opened via DISM and scanned for malicious files before publication.
  • Gaming: For full compatibility, we recommend installing the latest Runtimes (DirectX and VC++)—official versions with an auto-install batch file are best.
